Fresh water demand driving sea-level rise faster than glacier melt | Environment | guardian.co.uk.

Interesting, depressing view.

Saudi Arabia’s export of wheat – I recall reading about that madness years ago in Ehrlich’s The Population Explosion, back in 1990. Effectively they exported water. Not any more. Short term greed and the refusal to look to the consequences of actions… how stupidly human and moronic.
