Reconciling Food Production and Biodiversity Conservation: Land Sharing and Land Sparing Compared.

This paper is about the problems of joining conservation with food production. The research suggests that it is better to have intensive farmland rather than farmland that is a bit friendly for wildlife, as yields are lower and the wildlife does not benefit as well.  If you cannot see the article, there is a digest  of it here –
